About our silk patchwork squares:

• QTY: 32 patchwork squares made up of a variation of 10 or more designs. Please note you will receive repeat patterns within the bundle.
• Design: - Our partner company “Robert Keyte Silks Ltd” created of the Designs and Colourways. The Keyte family has worked in the Silk Industry since 1936 and Robert is re-knowned worldwide for high-quality silk products.
• Dye and Print – The cloth is initially dyed and the design “hand screen printed” onto the silk using the Dye and Discharge method. This is a complex technique and R A Smart is one of the few remaining printers in the world still capable of using this method
• Material: 100%, 36oz Pure Silk printed in Macclesfield “the silk town”
• Cut - Rotary blade cut
• Suitable For: Patchwork quilting. See our examples of a cushion and quilt made in-house. 32 patches is sufficient to make 2 cushions (18 inches/45cm square)
• Size: – 5 Inches x 5 Inches (12.5cm squares)
• Colour: – Multi-Colours
• Shape: - Square
• Reverse: Our recommendation is a Plain Dyed Cotton Velvet, also of UK manufacture. A selection of colours is available either by the metre (140cm/54 inches) wide or in 20 inch (50cm) squares.
